Ok here we go, I have connected up my Universal Remote Central Locking Kit to my car and its well not locking or unlocking the vehicle, although it does flash the indicators so at least i have that bit right, the 2 wires in question are the white and white/black now i connected them to 24 and 14 i think it was and nothing happend, i dont wanna go strippin every wire just to find what one it is, i have a 2002 1.2 8v basic, so if anyone knows what numbers or even colours i should be connecting it to then that would be a main help.

Also if anyone has a Punto Haynes Manual and understands the Wiring Diagrams at the back could u tell me what number it is thanks guys.

    alright mate,

I wrote up a guide to connect this. and since yours is a 2002, this should be the same as mine.

    These are the wires you need from the punto fuse-box;

LOCKING - Green and White Wire
UN-LOCKING - Blue and Purple Wire
INDICATOR - Pink and White Wire and a Pink Wire

So IF your locking wire on the universal box is white, this needs to be attached to the Green and White wire coming from this plug out of the fuse box:

Cheers m8 i'll have a look to see what ones i connected up and check with yours. Also m8 do have any idea what colour the Windows wires are if not its not a problem.

Good bit is lol i got 50% rights least my indicators flash when i push the button lol, i could always hook it up to the windows instead of the locks and have remote windows lmao.

My indicator wires are connected to a pink/white and a grey the whites are connected to green/white and blue/purple so surely even if i did get it wrong way round e.g. plain white to blue-purple surely it would lock when i push the unlock button but it does neither.

The indicators flash when i push the buttons which assures me that the grey wire is ok cause i think theres about 3 pinks lol.

    Hi,

No offence ment to Calibar (his information aided me greatly in fitting mine) but the wire colours are random and no car seems to be the same.lol.

The best way to do it is to connect to pins 24 and 34 for the lock and unlock and pins 13 and 3 for the indicators.

They are always these pins so it should definately work.

sounds you got the same kit as me, colours sound familiar.

i used the pin postitions as posted on the guide and it worked 1st time the colourse were even the same ones stated. is it possible you have just chopped the wrong wire for that pin as it is very tight there and cant really see!

also have you linked all the earths(ground) i think i had 3? i also ran my live and ground with some nice thick speaker wire direct of the battery.

when you press the lock/unlock sit in the car and see if you can hear the box goin "click click etc" dont no what else to say really.i took the side panel on the left by your feet were the heater blows (if you get me) the box and wirring fit in there nice!!! just lol

    hope you sort it

Yea there is the main earth but there will also be other earths which will need connecting. These will be different for positive/negative trigger cars and the punto is negative trigger.

Have you got the pins exactly right?

LOCK and UNLOCK are pins 24 and 34

INDICATORS are pins 3 and 13.

Pin 31 doesnt need to be touched. And the power can be taken from the HU or subwoofer power cable as this is permanent 12v.

It should be working if that is right.

    None at all taken mate.

When I put up my guide, with help from Dave we found out that the wires in different Puntos, depending on the year, are different colours.

So like you said, going with the Pin number itself would be the best option

Hello Guys, please help me with my punto mk2 5 doors model. I found the pin 24, 34 for lock and unlock. What must be done exactly with these wires ? Do I need to cut these wires of the connector? and attach lock, unlock wires from the new remote unlock device? I'm trying for days now, it still don't work

When I connect pin 3 and 13, not all the indicator lights are working? Pin 3 and 13 should indicate 4 lights check? 2 front and 2 back ??
